Camphy uses cookies sparingly. This page lists every kind of cookie set when you use Camphy - the few we set ourselves, and the advertising cookies our advertising partner sets - and what each one is for.
1. Essential cookies
Camphy sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and the small security cookies our sign-in system needs to protect your session (for example, to prevent cross-site request forgery during sign-in). These are strictly necessary - the product cannot work without them - and they contain no advertising identifiers.
2. Advertising cookies
Camphy carries advertising supplied by Google AdSense, and Google sets advertising cookies when an ad loads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Camphy and to other websites. Google may also use them to measure whether an ad was seen or clicked, and to limit how often you see the same ad. These cookies are set by Google under the Google privacy policy, not by Camphy, and we cannot read them. Ads appear only on the feed and the nearby tab - there is no advertising in chats, in ALIGN+, in meetup rooms, in the composer, or on your profile and settings.
3. What we do not use
Camphy sets no third-party analytics cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts of its own. We do not give advertisers your name, email address, handle, coordinates, posts, group messages or ALIGN+ conversations, we do not build advertising profiles of our members, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Managing cookies, and opting out of personalised ads
You can turn off personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, which applies everywhere Google serves ads rather than only on Camphy, and you can opt out of many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time: blocking third-party cookies stops advertising cookies without affecting the product, while blocking our essential cookies will sign you out and prevent Camphy from working.
5. Consent
Camphy does not yet show a cookie consent banner, so advertising cookies may be set when you visit. We are adding that control and this page will be updated when it is in place. Until then, the opt-outs in section 4 are how you stop personalised advertising, and you can write to privacy@camphy.in.
6. Changes
If we introduce a new category of cookie we will update this page. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
